The 2024 vintage in Adelaide Hills delivered exceptional quality despite challenging conditions. Lower-than-average yields resulted from poor flowering and fruit set, but this natural crop reduction concentrated flavours beautifully across all varieties. A mild, dry summer and consistently cool growing season allowed for slow, even ripening - particularly beneficial for our Shiraz, which developed intense yet delicate flavour profiles and vibrant colour concentration. These conditions were ideal for crafting elegant, aromatic wines with remarkable purity.

Sourced from our premium Balhannah vineyards in the Adelaide Hills, this 2024 Shiraz showcases how challenging conditions can yield extraordinary results. While yields were modest, the fruit quality was exceptional - revealing vibrant red fruits, lifted violet aromatics, and the signature black pepper/clove spice that defines our cool-climate terror. Thoughtful French oak integration complements rather than competes with these elegant characteristics.

The 2024 growing season demanded precision, but rewarded us with fruit of outstanding concentration and balance. The mild temperatures preserved natural acidity, while limited yields intensified flavour development. After careful selection, the wine matured in French oak barrels, gaining subtle complexity while maintaining its vibrant fruit core. The result is a Shiraz of uncommon finesse - layers of ripe cherry, blueberry and violet woven with black pepper, sweet spices , and a whisper of cedar.
